Autumn is upon us and so is hearty, wholesome cooking!

The festive season is just around the corner and with it comes wholesome cooking to warm us up as the nights turn colder. Lucky for you, we’ve got ample hearty comforting recipes for the Autumn nights. Try our Braised Beef With Pea And Horseradish Dumplings or Chicken, Ham And Pea Pie.

We are also pleased to announce that the Young Pea Chef of the Year competition is back. We will be opening for entries this month, challenging budding young chefs to develop a healthy and delicious recipe using peas as the main ingredient. The Young Pea Chef of the Year will be the creator of the most interesting and delicious recipe which includes the Great British Pea as star of the show. It can be a starter, main, dessert or quick and easy snack.

We are welcoming entries from primary school children up to year six and have partnered with Waitrose for a second year running to reward the winner with £500 in coocking equipment for their school.

The Great British pea has been gracing our dinner tables for generations and we believe that family dinner time just isn’t the same without them on the plate. We will be championing precious Family Time throughout November and December and have produced a short survey that we kindly ask you to complete to help us understand what your #FamilyTime is like!

We’re loving the reci-peas everyone’s sharing and can’t wait to see what meals November brings. You’ll find us on Twitter @YesPeas or on Facebook so don’t forget to take a picture before digging in – we’re readily awaiting your posts!
