May heralds the beginning of summer

The milder temperature and spells of sunshine pave the way for summer and we’re even managing to enjoy the occasional al fresco lunch. The bank holidays are a perfect excuse to get the family together and if we’re lucky enough, even air out the garden furniture! Try our Pea Minestrone with Sun Dried Tomato, Polenta and Basil Muffins or try your hand at our Pea and Sun Dried Tomato Bread.

We’re spoilt for delicious fresh fish in season at this time of year so why not head down to the fishmonger and have a go at our Seared Cod with Peas and Prawn Curry or for something for the kids, our Fish Goujons with Pea Puree. As the season for new potatoes begins, take advantage of tasty British tatties with Spanish Potatoes with Chorizo and Peas and Pea, Spicy Chorizo And Potato Tortilla With Tomato Salsa or in the spirit of National Vegetarian Week (18 - 24 May), Pea, Spinach and Potato Cakes.
